Changes to Anniesland services until 08 July

Last updated: Friday, 22 June 2018

Due to a section of track requiring urgent repairs, we have had to make changes to our services between Anniesland (via Maryhill) and Glasgow Queen Street (high level), and between Oban, Fort William and Mallaig and Glasgow Queen Street.

We apologise to customers affected by this issue, and understand their frustration.

What’s the problem?

A piece of track between Glasgow Queen Street and Ashfield requires replacing, and trains cannot pass over it until this has been done.

The piece of track is unique, so the replacement is being custom-built. This means that services between Anniesland (via Maryhill) and Glasgow Queen Street (high level), and between Oban, Fort William and Mallaig and Glasgow Queen Street will be altered until Sunday, 8 July.

How does that affect me?

We are unable to run services between Glasgow Queen Street and Anniesland in both directions, and southbound services to the West Highlands will be delayed by around 30 minutes.

What are my options?

Northbound trains are unaffected.

Southbound trains will be delayed by approximately 30 minutes while trains take an alternative route between Dalmuir and Glasgow Queen Street.
