Last updated: Wednesday, 8 February 2023

ScotRail has confirmed a new M&S Food store is set to open at Glasgow Queen Street station tomorrow, operated by franchise partner WHSmith.

Rail users will benefit from high quality food-to-go from Thursday, 9 February 2023, when Percy Pig will be on-hand to welcome shoppers to the new store when doors open at 10am.

The much-anticipated opening of the new city centre store will be welcome news to many ScotRail customers.

Designed with people on the go in mind, the new outlet will offer a wide range of products from fresh, convenient, food and drink options for now and later, to bakery items and fresh flowers, with self-service checkouts for those looking to grab a quick snack for the train.

Located right next to the Dundas Street entrance of the station, the unit occupies a 131sq m retail space, and is located in the perfect place to pick up bite to eat at the start or end of a journey.

The store opening hours are 6:30am-10pm, Monday to Saturday, and 7am-10pm on Sundays.

ScotRail, represented by commercial property experts, Advance Ventures, is working to secure more retailers for the redeveloped station.

Margaret Hoey, ScotRail General Manager at Glasgow Queen Street, said:
